You will find here for download software FURCH release 2.000
This web page is free but conditions are
drastic. This site doesn't accept files larger than 900 kbytes. For
comparison, the outdated diskettes were 1400 kbytes ! The set of
permitted file extensions is also very limited. For example files names
such as file.pdf.zip are rejected. These are the reasons why some of
the processes given below may seem complicated.

Look at the documentation, there is a special chapter in it with
many details for the installation of the software.
To download and install you have 4 steps : 1) You must download the 2 following DLL archives : DLL13-1.zip (561k) DLL13-2.zip (759k) Unzip them and put the xxx.dll files into your system or system32 directory. 2) Downlad the following archive : WinFurch2000.zip (180k) Unzip the archive and put its content into a directory, for example C:\Q2-5 . The archive contains the executable furch2-5.exe and different utility files. You have also the source code and a makefile for compilation with winglade if you want to modify the code. 3) Download the dictionaries : dico1_quere.zip (308k) dico2_quere.zip (168k) roll1_kltg.zip (27k) Unzip these dictionaries and put them into the same directory as above (for example C:\Q2-5). 4) A double klick on the furch2-5.exe icon should display something on your screen. It will be too large or too small depending on your screen parameters. Adjust the FURCH parameters into the furch.conf and gtkb.rc files. You will be able to read the 4 first pages of the "Sarmoniou". More pages are available on the Archive section of this site. You can download them and read them but don't forget to adjust acordingly the furch.conf file. From time to time check for more pages to read, for new versions of the existing dictionaries or for entirely new ones. Note : You can read your own breton pages and write your own dictionaries. Share them also with the others ! |
